The Dubai police force was founded in 1956 and is widely regarded as the most advanced and forward-looking. They eagerly use innovation and are very well-equipped. In case a car was stolen, a special GPS system will help to locate it. When police officers deal with suspects, electronic finger printing and DNA tests are at their disposal. There have even been talks about using the first robotic officer in the near future.

Another striking feature of the Dubai police is related to the cars used for patrolling streets. The have already become iconic – tourist take pictures of them and sometimes even ask officers for a ride. The Dubai police car fleet includes Lamborghini Aventador, Aston Martin, Bugatti Veyron, Mercedes SLS, Bentley Continental GT and Ferrari FF. They move at a speed of 300 km/h and it is nearly impossible to outdrive them. However, the purchase of such expensive cars had a practical reason – speeding used to be one of the most common crimes in the UAE and the cause of numerous accidents. Such powerful cars will help to prevent it.

The UAE is one of the safest countries of the world – it ranks 5th for order and security according to the World Justice Project. The Emirates have been outrun by Singapore, Finland, Sweden and Norway. There are rather strict laws about public decency and alcohol consumption. The level of corruption is low and recently a series of anti-discrimination laws have been implemented in order to guarantee equality in a multicultural society of the UAE.
